Some of our special friends, here at the rescue, provide special community services. Such as our "Read to Me" service. Kids that can't read well find it easier to read to one of our furry friends. The kids love it the dogs love it and the dogs don't laugh or tease the kids. This helps the kids gain a much needed self confidence and make new friends.

We do Pet Therapy at local nursing homes. The people love to see the pups and get a chance to hold a furry friend for awhile.  The pups just want to kiss them and kiss them!! And we get to make new friends. The love of an elder is a very special thing. Their stories are amazing and so are they.

We have a new program that just started this month and it is called MY FURRY FRIEND. This program lets the seniors that live at home and would love to have a pet but either can't due to Apartment rules or just cannot take care of one, get visits from a sweet furry friend!! We have expanded this effort for shut-ins and folks of all ages with disabilities.
